Description
Ghidra / IDA Pro training, conducted over Discord 1 on 1 with our head calibrator and software engineer- Joshua Laborde. Completion of our Training will be accompanied by a certificate, damos OLS, function explanation documentation and map packs related to the training.
Project Scope:
Using ASAP2DEMO to import and search through a file for the purposes of:
- Understanding ECU & Software memory maps
- Find RAM, and calibration addresses & locations
- To understanding calibration function links
Using the Function Documentation (if available) for the purposes of:
- Following logic functions
- Understanding relationships between RAM variables and calibration maps
Using Ghidra or IDA Pro for the intentions of:
- Correctly importing a Tricore binary file with base address & chipset configuration
- Finding the General Purposes Registers (GPRs) for Tricore
- Finding GPRs base addresses
- Finding RAM variables (lookup in A2L – ASAP2DEMO) and following function logic
- Referencing the function documentation to find embedded logic
- Finding reference to calibration area maps and axis
- Manipulation of function logic to bypass hard-coded controls
- Basic code patching
Course Requirements:
Understanding of basic programming principles, familiarity with A2L / ASAP standard and format, and understanding how to read function flow for electrical logic systems. A background in software engineering, or electrical engineering is highly recommended.
Implementation:
The implementation of this course is over 3-4 days, for a total of up to 8 hours.
