Welcome to Damosfiles.co’s VW/Audi Bosch MED17.x upshift crackle crash course. In this course we will be covering the process to calibrate the MED17 control unit, to allow for ignition intervention style crackles. This course will focus specifically on the VW Golf 6 GTI with the Bosch MED17.5 engine control unit and CCZB engine code.
Each section covered will help students understand the maps required to enable the functionality, and how to calibrate it for a particular effect. All students will be supplied with a tuner map pack, and example containing the maps outlined in the course. An example is provided for both MED17.5 and MED17.5.2.
This course and its lessons can be applied to a large variety of engine control units and calibrated through a host of different software suites. The one used to guide you in this course is EVC’s WinOLS.
